I’ve been told I should blog…

…which I suppose means that people might be interested in the things I have to say. I guess that’s pretty neat! I’d like to thank my good friend Lea for the excellent idea!

I’m new to this whole blogging thing, but I’m definitely not new to journaling. I have been journaling since I was in the third grade when my parents bought me a tiny diary with a mini lock and key. Since that one, I’ve poured my thoughts out in at least 10 other journals and diaries. In fact, from seventh grade until my junior year of high school, I think I wrote about EVERY SINGLE DAY. I didn’t write every day, but I would catch up. It’s like I felt like I’d be missing out if I didn’t document everything I did. I was such an intense kid.

I’m still intense–but that’s beside the point!

It is neat to go back and read what I considered important to share when I was young. It also brings back awesome memories from hanging out with my cousins, my sister, and my friends. My sister Sheridyn and I spent an entire night reading my third grade diary–and we laughed hysterically the entire time. (There’s some embarrassing entries in there…) I talked about the boys I had crushes on, circled our names with hearts, then crossed them out–classic young love stuff. So silly…

Even the high school journals are interesting to see how much I’ve changed and also how I’m still the same person deep down. I wonder if someday I’ll go through and read all of those. Who knows–but it would definitely be entertaining.

I hope that this blog will be entertaining! I can’t promise what it will be like, but I CAN promise that I won’t use it to document my life like I used to do with my journals. 😉

Thank you for reading–I hope to have you back soon!
